Problem Analysis of the Strategic Management Mechanisms Functioning of the Industrial Enterprises in the Donetsk People's Republic in the Conditions of Uncertainty

As a part of the study, a retrospective analysis of the industrial enterprises functioning in the DPR is carried out. The analysis revealed tendencies towards structural restructuring of the economy of the Republic, associated with a decrease in the sales volume of industrial enterprises. It has been established that the volume of products sold by industrial enterprises in the DPR in 2020, adjusted for the consumer price index, is significantly lower than the same indicator in 2016–2019. It is concluded that it is necessary to analyze and improve the strategic management mechanisms of industrial enterprises in the DPR.
In connection with the above, the mechanisms of functioning and management of the Yasinovataya machine-building plant are investigated. The positive dynamics of the sales volume, which resulted in an increase in the enterprise profit is revealed. The use of the adaptive management strategies by the enterprise in conditions of uncertainty is substantiated. At the same time, a number of problems in the functioning of the enterprise that limit the adaptive capabilities of the strategic management system are identified.
Based on the analysis, it is concluded that there are a number of trends specific to industrial enterprises in the DPR that generate a significant increase in uncertainty. In such conditions, the diversity of the external environment state of the DPR enterprises is quite large and poorly predictable in the long term. It requires the management system to form a toolkit of management influences, characterized by a high level of diversity. It is also found that industrial enterprises in the DPR operate in conditions of the significant limited variety of strategic management tools available to them. In this regard, key specific factors that limit the variety of tools in the systems of strategic management of industrial enterprises of the Republic are identified.
The specificity of the tendencies provoking an increase in the uncertainty associated with the special status of the DPR predetermines, other things being equal, a lower efficiency of strategic decisions. This makes the industrial enterprises of the Republic less competitive, making the research and assessment of their competitiveness more relevant.
