Abstract

The relevance of the study of the mechanism formation for managing the competitiveness of the passenger automobile transport services based on the effective tariff policy is due to the fact that the presence of a large number of competitors on the market of the motor transport services requires enterprises to monitor the actions of these competitors constantly to ensure the necessary competitiveness level of their services. Moreover, the process of ensuring the competitiveness of services involves the functioning of the certain mechanism for managing it.

The analysis of recent studies and publications has led to the conclusion that, currently, scientists still do not have a unified approach to the essence and formation of the mechanism for managing the competitiveness of enterprises, their goods and services. Scientists consider the mechanism for managing the competitiveness of enterprises, their goods and services as a combination of interrelated organizational, economic and administrative-legal levers and methods, tools, measures, means of influencing competitiveness factors or as ensuring the functioning of the entire enterprise competitiveness management system, which is essentially a management process and the implementation of its functions. This is due to the fact that in the scientific literature there are two approaches to managing objects. According to the first approach, the management is seen as a process. According to the second approach, the management is considered as the managerial activity, as the relationship between the subject and the control object.

Based on the analysis of existing approaches to the mechanism formation for managing the competitiveness of enterprises, their goods and services, using the process approach and the IDEF0 functional modelling methodology, the model for the mechanism formation managing the competitiveness of the passenger road transport services based on the effective tariff policy, reflecting its composition and structure is developed.

The use of the proposed competitiveness management mechanism will allow motor transport companies not only to maintain the optimal competitiveness level of their services, but also to obtain the desired profit, to ensure positive economic results, and stability by establishing flexible tariffs that take into account changing market conditions. We propose to form the composition and structure of the competitiveness management mechanism as the set of tariff setting processes and the competitiveness level of our own services. The proposed competitiveness management mechanism can be used to manage the competitiveness of the enterprise services of other modes of transport, taking into account their specifics.
