ON THE POLITICAL ECONOMY OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

Abstract

Today, artificial intelligence is a subject not only of the exact sciences but also of the humanities. Its development is already causing economic and sociocultural shifts, influencing all spheres of human life and activity. In this regard, traditional questions of the philosophy of consciousness have acquired particular relevance. What features most fully express the specificity of human thought? Which of its processes lend themselves to digital modeling, and which do not? Is a machine capable of emotional and volitional manifestations and, in general, of actions not programmed by humans? Finally, it is important to understand the significance of the technological innovations under study in the context of contemporary geopolitical, socioeconomic, and cultural contradictions, and the extent to which humanity is prepared to respond to the challenges involved and seize the emerging opportunities.
