ON THE ISSUE OF THE IDEOLOGICAL DIMENSION THE CONCEPT OF «HISTORICAL MEMORY»

The article is devoted to the study of the problem of the ideological dimension of
the concept of historical memory. The paper presents the most revealing approaches to the problem
of the relationship between the concepts of "historical memory" and "ideology": historical
memory is considered in the context of the Marxist understanding of ideology, as well as within
the framework of ideas about ideology found in modern research literature. The author makes a
conclusion about the essential commonality of these concepts, due to their initial engagement:
both the concept of ideology and the concept of historical memory represent the process of referring
to the past of certain social groups seeking to establish their own worldview and interests
within the framework of social interaction.
