CIVILIZATION AS A STAGE OF HUMAN DEVELOPMENT

The author substantiates the conclusion that the civilizational project of Russia
should be considered as part of the process of forming a universal civilization, without contrasting
the general and the special. As a basis for periodization and evaluation of the stages of
the process of historical development, the author uses a picture of the systemic unity of the world
as a process of formation of the system "man and nature", the interaction of which is mediated
by the system "public consciousness – public practice". Based on it, it is concluded that the increasingly
broad communities formed in the process of historical development: tribe, people,
nation, civilization, which precedes universal civilization, are a manifestation of the expansion and development of unity consciousness as stages of human development. The expansion of the
consciousness of the dominant individual of Russian society to the consciousness of unity within
civilization is associated with a change in the nature of thinking, with overcoming the logic of
opposing linear thinking, which is a manifestation of the stage of development at which a new
quality of mind appeared – systemic reason and systemic thinking, aimed at understanding unity
and rejecting the relationship of dominance and subordination. Systemic thinking manifests itself
in the free interaction of idealism and materialism in the public consciousness, the onset of the
next stage of development is associated with the spread and dominance of the picture of the systemic
unity of the world, as the basis of a systemic worldview.
