Abstract

The article analyzes one of the works of F. Engels on the essence of the genus, where he clarifies the conceptual and conceptual apparatus of the dialectical-materialist theory of the historical process. The problems of understanding this theory by different philosophers in a specific period are considered. The importance of the research carried out by F. Engels for the development of society as a whole has been proved.
