Analysis of the Injuries and Occupational Diseases at Metallurgical Enterprises

The metallurgical industry is a key industrial sector in developed industrial countries and in the Russian Federation. It provides the basis for the development of other industries. The production of ferrous and non-ferrous metals consists of many complex technological processes that pose various dangers for workers and for general industrial safety.
The article analyzes such parameters of the enterprise as injuries, highlighting the main causes, accident rates, occupational diseases and mortality.
Effective reduction of industrial injuries and occupational diseases at metallurgical enterprises will have a positive impact not only on the social situation, but also on the economy of the enterprise itself. To ensure compliance with labour safety principles, metallurgical companies need to pay greater attention to increasing the motivation of personnel at industrial enterprises. A systematic and comprehensive approach to occupational safety issues must be continuous both on the part of senior management and every ordinary employee. At the same time, it should be noted that the implementation of certain labour protection measures would be more accessible with the support of the state.
