Information Support Optimization for Management Activities in State and Municipal Authorities

In today’s new economic and social conditions for the development of society (sanctions, pandemic, globalization, etc.), information as a factor of production plays a key role in the system of state and municipal government. In this regard, the information support for management activities in the state and municipal authorities should be considered as a special area of activity associated with the identification, processing, storage and dissemination of information, mainly in the management, political and economic spheres.
Information activity is an integral part of the entire mechanism of state administration and the process of functioning of any state or municipal authority. The open transparent activity of state and municipal employees increases the level of trust of citizens and, thereby, forms a developed institution of civil society.
The functioning of the information support system in state and municipal government bodies is carried out with a sufficient level of information security (in particular, information and software products may be vulnerable to external interference). At the same time, the expansion and development of e-governance as a new form of state and municipal government remains a priority direction for the development of information support for the activities of state and municipal authorities.
The use of modern information and communication technologies and adequate information support for management activities in state and municipal authorities are the driving forces for ensuring a constructive dialogue and effective interaction between government and society. And the integration of interdepartmental interaction and the provision of comprehensive services through central state portals and portals of municipal authorities will increase the efficiency of functioning and ensure the development of the entire apparatus of public administration, as well as reduce opportunities for financial fraud and violations of national legislation.
