Abstract

The article is devoted to the management of the digital economy development process, the associated global transformation of markets, opportunities and problems.

The purpose of the article is to study the impact of the digitalization on the competitive advantages of economic sectors and states as a whole.

The author notes that the digitalization of the economy entails significant changes in the production of products, services, and their consumption. Great hopes and not unfounded fears arise regarding changes in the competitive environment as a result of the innovative processes activation in the economy.

Considering that the process is comprehensive, inevitable, changing the ways of production management, the attention should be paid to the development of the state assistance mechanism for improving the competitiveness of the country.

It is noted that the issues of balancing political problems in order to reduce the risk for consumers deserve special attention.

As a conclusion, the author expresses the hope that the inevitable changes requiring new views and new approaches to solving emerging problems will occur gradually with changes in regulations as digitalization develops and with compliance with the present requirements.
