Ways to Solve Problems in the Field of the Waste Management in the Lugansk People's Republic

The problem of waste is one of the main problems of our time. The emerging awareness of the crisis situation with waste that our society has faced has led to the fact that the waste management has turned from a secondary problem into a central one, for which more and more specialists are involved every year. Large cities are sources of pollution, areas with increased economic activity and high population density. In the Luhansk People's Republic at the moment there is a need to revise the existing management of solid domestic waste (SDW). State and public organizations continue to actively fight against the environmental problems, but the amount of solid waste, one of the serious sources of the environmental pollution, is increasing.
The article deals with the problems in the field of the waste management in the LPR. The waste management strategy is defined with the aim of minimizing it by creating a waste processing industry. The necessity of creating a legal framework both at the regional and republican levels is substantiated. The recommendations to improve the waste management system in the Republic are developed.
The analysis of regional data has showed the need to create a waste processing industry. Thus, we can conclude that it is necessary to solve problems in a comprehensive manner, combining the forces of the Republic and the capabilities of private investors, as well as the population.
