Food Security Provision as the Basis of the Donetsk People's Republic National Security

The population provision with food is a basic element of the state national security, which is the reason for such a significant interest in this problem. The study and analysis of the food security problem is one of the most popular areas of the modern economic science.
The food security is a complex and many-sided problem that is both international and local in nature. The basis of the food security problem is a person with his need for nutrition in order to ensure the reproduction of his vitality, the implementation of productive economic (labour, entrepreneurial) activities and his further development as a participant in economic relations, as a citizen and as a person.
The food security of the state and society is ensured in the process of the influence of the combination of economic, social, political and other factors associated with the food complex development of the national economy, as well as with the general state and dynamics of the national and world economic systems of the society. The reliability of the food security of the state and society is ensured both through its own production and is determined by the availability of funds necessary for the food import in the required volumes.
The main tasks of the food security provision in the Donetsk People's Republic are improving the quality of food products, ensuring their physical and economic accessibility for all segments and categories of the population; achieving and maintaining economic parity between agriculture and other sectors of the national economy; increasing the level of efficiency (profitability) of agriculture as the basis of the emerging food security system; convergence of income levels of the population employed in agriculture and in the leading industries of the national economy; protection of national producers in the agro-industrial complex, state support for the export of agricultural products and the export potential development of the national economy.
