Abstract

The conducted analysis of the existing studies in the field of the traffic flow characteristics influence on the organization of the urban passenger bus transportation has showed the following. From the considered processes affecting the organization of the urban bus transportation, the main process of traffic flows along the city streets is singled out as the main process. The traveling time between the stopping points, taking into account the distance between these points, is formed in the form of the buses technical speed on the route sections, which forms the schedule of the rolling stock. In conditions of the movement in the traffic flows, the above time can increase, due to the decrease in the speed of traffic flows, up to the formation of congestion. Therefore, it is necessary to take into account the congestion formation on the sections of city streets when standardizing the technical speed of buses.

The analysis of modern studies has shown that the speed of the traffic flow has a decisive effect on the formation of the buses technical speed on the route span. At the same time, the connection has the form of linear. In the area of 30 km / h, the change in trends is observed, before it – the technical speed of the bus is higher than the speed of the transport flow, after it – the technical speed of the bus is lower than the speed of the traffic flow, which also determines the safety of traffic. The analysis of the procedure for standardizing the technical speed of buses has showed that currently, the standardization of the technical speed does not provide for the characteristics of the traffic flow, especially in conditions of congestion.

A new technique for standardizing the technical speed of buses in the conditions of the urban passenger traffic, which takes into account the possibility of congestion on the street sections is developed. The technique allows calculating the time and conditions for the congestion on the spans, as well as incorporating the specified time into the calculations of the technical speed, as a forced downtime.
