Abstract

In the article, during the development of methods for activating the microarc oxidation (MAO) process, the features of changes in the electromechanical activity of aqueous-alkaline electrolytes, which determine the growth dynamics of ceramic-like coatings, were studied by exposing the liquid to an ultrasonic field. The author proposes a mechanism for increasing the electrochemical and electromechanical activity of aqueous alkaline solutions during various microarc machining (MAM) techniques on valve metals by passing ultrasonic vibrations of varying frequencies through the electrolyte. This paper presents theoretical analysis of the results of modeling the physical phenomena accompanying one of the MMA variants—anodic microarc oxidation (AMAO). The mechanisms are analyzed and the parameters governing the dynamics of energy release during the collapse of gas bubbles formed in the electrolyte during ultrasonic treatment are identified.
