Abstract

Reliability is the most important indicator of the motor vehicles (MV). An important aspect of solving the problem of reliability is the development of the strategy for its provision.

Among other factors the climatic conditions also influence on the operational reliability of the vehicle.

It is known that in the process of work, the technical conditions of the car and its units are worn out, which can lead to the partial or complete working capacity loss, therefore, to the process disruption of the transport work performing. Carrying out the thermal preparation of vehicles creates optimal conditions for the operation of units, assemblies, parts and systems of the vehicle. At the same time, the probability of failures, ceteris paribus, decreases, which increases the technical readiness of transport to perform transport work, i. e., the coefficient of technical readiness (αТ) of the vehicle.

After carrying out the relevant studies, the technical readiness average coefficient of the cars of the three studied groups was determined. And it is concluded that it is more profitable to use thermal preparation of the engine only. Since in this case much less thermal energy is consumed, and the coefficient of technical readiness decreases slightly, which leads to the increase in the technical readiness of the vehicle.
